Seattle

We are moving to Seattle for the summer!! I'm so excited. Paul will be selling security systems for some company called Platinum Protection or something like that. I won't hardly get to see him, and heck I might be bored all day, but I will get to meet new people and hang out with all the other salesmen's spouses. It will be a change that's for sure but we are hoping that paul will sell enough that he won't have to work while he goes to school. Our main reason is so I can quit my job. I can't keep brining a baby to work forever and I don't want my whole paycheck going to a babysitter. We're leaving right after finals and staying until August sometime. And we are driving too. Adventure is definatly the word!! I'm really excited... today I started making out our packing list!

Thrift Store

I have been searching for size 9-12 month pj's for the longest time. The only pair I found cost $18! ha ha yeah right! like I'm going to pay that much for something that he grows out of practically when I put it on him. So the next best thing.... yard sales and thrift stores. They are used, but still good and CHEAP. So today Paul had his CPR class from 9-4 so I had plenty of time to go hunting. I found a few yard sales, but nothing with baby stuff... until I went down one street and aaaawwww.... there she be!! BABY CLOTHES. That was practically all they had! WOOO!! I rummaged through the long piles of clothing on the blanket on the ground. I found a set of PJs and a little baseball outfit that looked brand new! I also found a book that has places to put cheerios (the cars wheels, the fish bubbles...) totally made for church! Anyway... I purchased 3 outfits and 2 books for a dollar! score. On to my next stop. I went to the thrift store and what do you know.... a whole long rack filled with baby boys clothes! I found at least 10 outfits and a cute pair of church shoes (that won't fit for a while but eventually he'll wear them). I also found a dress for me (turns out it didn't fit) and at least 5 sets of pjs. and I only spent $10! oh man I love thrift stores. I wouldn't really wear anything there but for a baby, that's the way to go! I'm excited about it.

Offended

we all know that I cut Hayden's hair. I never admitted to be amazing at it, but it sure is cheaper than getting someone that knows how to do it. I mean how hard is it to use the clippers... its not.

Today while at work I was holding Hayden on my lap and my boss says to him:
"Your hair is growing out nice. You can't even tell you had a bad haircut the other day."

UM! EXCUSE ME! she knows that I'm the one that cuts it... SHE KNOWS THIS. And still she says that... I'm right here, listening. OH I'm sooooo offended about it.

Marie cut my hair last, which was a while ago... and I loved it and still do. But yestday my boss says to me after I said that I needed a trim...
"you should grow your hair longer and cut it all the same length" (ps who does that anymore?)
and I said no I don't think that would look cute on me...
yes it would.
no I don't think so...
well who cuts it for you?
paul's cousin's wife
well you should have someone professional do it
she is, she went to beauty school.

she said a few other things that I can't remember that weren't nice but I'm SO SORRY MARIE!!

I love my haircut and I love the way Marie cut it. I don't trust many people with my hair and I trust Marie more than any other stylist I've ever had.

So let's just say that I'm really annoyed of my boss today and really want to be home. THE END

Today was Hayden's 6 month check up. He technically 6 months for 2 more days but who cares...

He is in the 80% for his weight and 55% for his height. He weighs 19 pounds 5 ounces and is 26 inches tall!!

I'm going to copy Michele's idea...

6 people Hayden Loves

1. Mommy
2. Daddy
3. Joan (my boss)
4. Grandma Clites
5. Grandma Norris
6. Great Grandma Williams

6 Nicknames for Hayden

1. Hayden Bug
2. Buggers
3. Chubbers
4. Boo Boo Ba Doo
5. Boo Boo (used the most)
6. Bud

6 things Hayden likes

1. laughing
2. jabbering
3. Eating his feet
4. Pulling off his socks
5. Diaper Changes
6. playing with mommy

6 things he's learned

1. How to pull his socks off
2. How to suck on his toes
3. How to hold a bottle
4. How to roll over
5. How to eat solid foods
6. How to reach for EVERYTHING

I also gave him haircut number 3 today! This time I used the clippers to save time.... so the back is still pretty long and I missed a few spots. Its hard when there's a big scary noisy thing with teeth coming at your head. All his baby soft hair is gone! Its nice and short and thick. I think he's quite handsome!

Updates

I uploaded all the pictures from the camera and here's a few of the pictures that were on it.

This is the start to our garden, we decided to start the seeds inside while we get the garden outside ready to plant. These ones are cucumbers.

This is the hat that Paul's parents got for Paul for Christmas '07. Paul thought this would be cute... turns out he was right.

This is Liam Shawn Spitzer. My friend Tiffany had her baby on Friday the 13th at 8 something pm. He was 7 1/2 pounds and 19 inches! Super cute!!

"Mommy I want to be just like dad and play X Box!!"

Constipated rolling over baby!

Hayden finally rolled over on Sunday. I thought the day would never come. He can go from tummy to his back. But hasn't figured out the other way. Someday he'll just do it. It was really exciting!!

Hayden went an entire week without having a bowel movement. I really didn't think anything of it until he was waking up crying every hour the other night. Well I talked to my boss and she thought constipation. WELL DUH this totally made sense. I don't know how often they are supposed have a BM. His next dr. appt isn't until next week. I bought some prune juice today but it's nothing like warm milk straight from the supplier. So his grunting and pushing sounds are getting old and his crying at night is getting annoying. His stool isn't hard, in fact it's quite runny. So why is it that he only goes once a week!! And I'm always scared for it because its and up-the-back-down-the-leg strip down and get in the tub kind of a BM. NOT FUN. Most of the time I end up needing a bath too. Any advice I can get until I go see the DOC on wednesday, it would be appreciated!

secret something

Here's how it works:The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! But I'll try really hard.
2- It'll be done this year.
3- You have no clue what it's going to be, and neither do I, but I'm sure it'll be great :o)

The catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win an awesome homemade gift by me!
